Brooklyn Beauty Queen Blog: I’m From Honey Line Review
Today I will be breaking down three of the best Honey products from the Korean beauty brand I’m From.
If you don’t know about the I’m From brand yet, let me tell you, they make amazing natural skincare products that will blow you away.
I am lucky that I get to choose three products from their parent company every quarter, and I always end up choosing at least one I’m From product. I love their products so much that I have actually been reordering many of the things that I initially get for free.
Let me talk to you about the Honey line and see if I can turn you into a mega I’m From fan like me.

I’m From Honey Skincare
Honey is one of those skincare ingredients that seem to be able to do almost anything.
It is moisturizing, acne healing, anti-aging, exfoliating, glow-inducing, and more!
If you have ever tried a skincare product with honey, you will know about that honey skin glow that is trending right now in K-Beauty.
Want to know a secret?
I’m From Honey products are actually amazing dupes for a Sephora brand’s honey line!
I promise I will tell you all about the dupes soon. For now, let’s get back to I’m From…
The I’m From Honey line includes a mask, serum, moisturizer, and lip balm. This post will be talking about the first three (shown in the photo above).
All three products work really well together, but you do not have to use them together in the same routine. I actually recommend checking out each of my descriptions below and picking the products that will work best for your skincare needs.
You can also check out my review for the I’m From Mugwort line, and see if you like any of those options too. Mixing and matching products from various I’m From lines is totally ok!
Now, let’s into this lovely Honey trio…
I’m From Honey Mask
The I’m From Honey Mask is a wash-off mask that will deeply hydrate and nourish your skin. If you have acne, this mask can actually help clear away any white heads by gently exfoliating the outer layer of skin. Its anti-bacterial properties also help keep skin clear.
Formulated with 46.44g of natural honey from the Jiri mountains in South Korea, this mask will deeply nourish even the most dehydrated skin. Your skin will feel softer, more supple, and more elastic with each use.
To help keep the honey fresh for longer, the beautiful glass jar comes with an internal lid that should be kept on whenever possible. It also comes with a little spatula that you can use to scoop the mask out of jar as well as to mix the mask whenever the honey starts to separate out of the mixture.
You can see the internal lid and spatula in the photo below.
So, what is in this mask that makes it so special?
Key Ingredients:
- Honey (it’s literally the first ingredient)
- Beeswax
- Propolis Extract
- Bee Venom
- Botanical Extracts
- Snail Secretion Filtrate
- Shea Butter
- Macadamia Seed Oil
- Sunflower Seed Oil
- Jojoba Seed Oil
Full Ingredients:
Honey, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Microcrystalline Wax, Polysorbate 20, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Beeswax, Tocopheryl Acetate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract, Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Water, Bambusa Vulgaris Water, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Propolis Extract, Beta-Glucan, Bee Venom, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin
Now take a look at that beautiful texture…
There might be a ton of honey in this mask, but it feels very creamy instead of sticky.
How to use: After cleansing, apply a generous amount to your face. It doesn’t need to be too thick, but it shouldn’t be too thin either. Leave the mask on for 10-60 minutes. I recommend getting as close to 60 minutes as possible so that you can really get your skin glowing. Remove the mask with the included spatula. It is a pretty messy mask, so you will need help getting it off. Rise your face with warm water and continue with the rest of your skincare routine.
I absolutely love this mask!
It smells like honey, feels like honey, and it makes my skin look fantastic.
I like to use this mask at least once a week as part of my regular masking routine. I will use it more often if my skin is experiencing an unexpected breakout or if it just needs a boost of some extra nourishment.
This mask never disappoints me. My skin looks better immediately, and the glow it gives me lasts for days.
Dupe Alert!!!! The I’m From Honey Mask is a fantastic dupe for the Farmacy Honey Potion Plus Mask. I actually like the I’m From one better! Sign up for my weekly newsletter so you don’t miss it when I compare these two side-by-side.
So I love this mask, but is it right for you?
Let me start by saying that you will NOT like this mask if strongly scented skincare products irritate your skin and/or nose. While there are no added fragrances in this mask, the honey and botanical extracts give it a pretty powerful scent.
If that doesn’t bother you and you want to have glowing skin like your favorite K-Pop idol, then I would say to get this mask. Using it regularly will help you get that coveted honey skin look!
For anyone that has no idea what an idol is, I recommend this mask to anyone with acne-prone skin, extremely dehydrated skin, and/or aging skin. If your skin fits none of those categories, congratulations! You have perfect skin and everyone probably hates you.
Just kidding!
If you do have perfect skin, you should probably skip this mask and opt for the I’m From Rice Mask instead.
I will eventually write a post about all the I’m From masks. Hopefully, you are already subscribed to my weekly newsletter, you won’t want to miss that one!

Ok, let’s move on to the Honey Serum…
I’m From Honey Serum
The I’m From Honey Serum is a must-have for glowing skin!
Formulated with the I’m from Honey Glow Queen, this serum will literally change your life.
Acne?
This serum is for you.
Fine lines and wrinkles?
This serum is for you.
Dull skin? Oily skin? Dry skin? Textured Skin?
The list just keeps on going. Whatever your skin concern, this serum will help you get your glow on!
There are very few people that wouldn’t benefit from the Honey Serum, and I will get to that part soon.
For now, take a look at that beautiful glass bottle with an airless pump in the next photo… The shape of the bottle is stunning!
Key Ingredients:
- Honey Glow Queen: honey, black bee propolis, royal jelly, bee venom, turmeric, bee pollen, and cinnamon
- Niacinamide
- Madecassoside
- Centella Asiatica
- Vitamin C
- Botanical Extracts
Full Ingredients:
Glycerin, Water, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Niacinamide, PEG/ PPG- 18/18 Dimethicone, Undecane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Tridecane, 1,2- Hexanediol, Sodium Chloride, Dimethicone/ Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract, Honey Extract, Adenosine, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Levan, Decyl Glucoside, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Pollen Extract, Phenethyl Alcohol, Ziziphus Jujuba Seed, Centella Asiatica Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Propolis Extract, Bee Venom, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Madecassoside, Fragrance, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Geraniol, Limonene, Citral
As you can tell from the full ingredients list, there is a lot of silicone added to this serum. This helps it blur the skin and apply smoothly. It also gives it a silicone primer-like texture that you can see in the photo below…
How to use: After cleansing and toning, apply 1-2 pumps of serum to your skin. Let the serum sink into your skin before applying moisturizer.
I love everything about this serum. I love the texture, I love the way my skin feels when I have it in my routine, and I love how much my skin glows when I use the Honey Serum consistently.
When my skin starts to look dull, I always add this serum back into my AM routine. It helps brighten up my complexion, and the texture really helps my makeup sit beautifully on my skin all day long.
Dupe Alert!!! This is an amazing dupe for the Farmacy Filling Good Serum. You can read that post now!
While I think that this serum is great, there are a few people that should avoid this miracle in a bottle.
If you are sensitive to silicones and/or fragrances, this is NOT the serum for you. Please check out the Farmacy version instead for similar results.
Everyone else needs to get the Honey Serum one right now!
Yes, even if you have perfect skin…

Now moving on to the final product…
I’m From Honey Glow Cream
The I’m From Honey Glow Cream feels a lot lighter on the skin than a traditional honey-based moisturizer. Its silky smooth texture and effortless absorption make this a fantastic option for acne-prone and dehydrated skin types.
Formulated with the same Honey Glow Queen complex as the Honey Serum, this moisturizer will bring your glow to a whole new level!
Check out that beautiful glass jar that matches the Honey Serum bottle…
The big question is… Do you need both the moisturizer and the serum?
Let’s take a look at the key ingredients for the moisturizer…
Key Ingredients:
- Honey Glow Queen: honey, black bee propolis, royal jelly, bee venom, turmeric, bee pollen, and cinnamon
- Niacinamide
- Madecassoside
- Centella Asiatica
- Vitamin C
- Botanical Extracts
Full Ingredients:
Water, Octyldodecanol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Octyldodecyl Olivate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propylene Glycol Dibenzoate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Niacinamide, Behenyl Olivate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Glycerin, Stearyl Behenate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Behenic Acid, Cetyl Stearate, Stearyl Stearate, Honey Extract, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Arginine, Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Pollen Extract, Levan, Decyl Glucoside, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Propolis Extract, Phenethyl Alcohol, Ziziphus Jujuba Seed Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Bee Venom, Citric acid, Ascorbic Acid, Madecassoside, Fragrance, Limonene, Citral, ButylphenyI Methylpropional, Geraniol
So, both the moisturizer and the serum have the exact same key ingredients.
The good news is that the moisturizer leaves out the silicones, so this one would be a great option for you if your skin can’t tolerate silicones.
But do you need both?
Let’s talk about it after taking a look at that beautiful, silky texture…
After using the moisturizer and serum together as well as separately, I have to say that there is definitely a benefit of using both of them, just not in the same routine.
Let me explain.
Due to the silicones in the serum, I don’t think that the moisturizer sinks well into the skin when layered on top. If the Honey Glow Cream just sits on the skin without getting absorbed, you won’t get all the wonderful benefits of its ingredients.
What I ended up doing is using the Honey Serum in my AM routine and the Honey Glow Cream in my PM routine. Since I was only using the serum in the AM anyway due to the silicones in the formula, this combination made my skin glow day and night.
That being said, you do not have to get both products.
If you have the funds, I say go for it and experiment with applying them at different times of the day. I absolutely think that the effects are additive when using both products every day. You will glow like a lightbulb!
If you had to choose one, I would get the product that addresses your skin concerns more.
Do you want the blurring effects of the silicones? Are you sensitive to silicones?
Pick the one that will work for you and your skin.
Also, please note that there is also added fragrance in the Honey Glow Cream. If you have skin sensitivities to fragrance in skincare, do NOT get this product.
Dupe Alert!!! This is a great dupe for the Farmacy Honey Drop Moisturizer, and you can usually find the I’m From Honey Glow Cream at half the price on sale! Sign up for my weekly newsletter so you don’t miss it when I compare these two side-by-side.
If you want the same results, but you need a fragrance-free product, you can get the Farmacy version instead.
You can buy the Honey Glow Cream at my favorite online K-Beauty stores:
Final Thoughts
I absolutely love the I’m From Honey line. The Honey Mask, Honey Serum, and the Honey Glow Cream have become staples in my skincare routine.
These three products will make your skin glow while addressing almost every skin concern, and they are great dupes for products in the Farmacy Honey line.
Which honey product do you want to try the most? Let me know in the comments!
