What Is Beauty To You?
Define beauty? Do you look in the mirror and like what you see? Do you see yourself as beautiful? Beauty in our society has many various forms. For me, beauty encompasses confidence, strength, healthy habits and values. I almost view beauty as the definition of your own inner peace, your true happy self, whereby you look in the mirror and despite any imperfections in your own eyes you still feel satisfied with your image. This is beauty to me.
Why is there so much pressure on perfection within yourself in our societies? Does everyone men, and women strive to be the very best human being they can be for you or for others? What do you need to achieve this beauty? Often in keeping your mind and body healthy your bombarded by different methods, products, exercise routines, creams, perfect remedies, crash diets, cleansing routines and beauty covers’. Do these help you form that perfect image to increase your inner strength, or is it through sheer will and determination that you nurture the body your given to give you this beauty.
What qualities does beauty have in your opinion? Thinking about this, I straight away visualise myself and my best qualities, my large eyes, my long legs my thick hair… but I don’t feel defined by my appearance. Beauty therefore would be one’s own perception. Remarkably beauty is defined by different cultures and societies differently. I love this about beauty, the diversity that it brings to our own personal realities.
As I get older I realise that my skin isn’t as smooth as it used to be, and seeing this in the mirror encourages me to find a cleansing cream that hydrates and keeps my skin moist. I also have very thick hair, which tends to go unruly, so am conscience of my hair appearing matted to the general public, so look for an anti-frizz hair hydrator. When I go out with my loved ones’ I love to dress up and look my best in public, I still put eye shadow on and enhance my eye color and shape with cosmetics. All of which increases my personal confidence, which helps me define my own perception of beauty.
Remarkably I believe beauty can be achieved by everyone in any society, both intellectually and physically. People’s perspectives’ and stereotypes need to be challenged to accept all forms of beauty definitions. Beauty truly begins within yourself, and when you’ve reached your own inner happiness you will infect others with your positive nature and appearances. We are all attracted to confidence within a person, to a person that is willing to try their very hardest, and to those that inspire greatness. Be your best self for beauty. Find your own best image and look for things that will help you achieve that best image for your own beauty and happiness.
