Lady Gaga’s Inauguration Beauty 2021: All the Makeup Details

Today, at the inauguration ceremony for President Joe Biden in Washington, D.C., Lady Gaga took the stage and dazzled the nation with her moving performance of the national anthem. For the momentous occasion, the pop superstar wore a custom Schiaparelli Couture ball gown, accented by a large gold dove pin (an emblem of peace). She topped it off with an ornamental beauty look that will go down in history.

Putting her own twist on an elegant updo, Gaga’s long, platinum lengths were braided into a duo of milkmaid braids and woven with sumptuous black ribbon. Adding a touch of softness, a few face-framing wisps were pulled out in the front, while a pair of red poppies, another nod to a peaceful future, were pinned in the back. Shoe trends that will dominate spring-summer 2021
Sneakers, boots, rangers and thigh-highs, all have been done aplenty in various styles. Now, Spring-summer 2021 is going to keep our feet close to the ground where different kinds of flip-flops will get transformed into truly unique, strappy, and chunky options. High heels will be much less predominant and the biggest standouts will be flats, platform squares, and wedges.

So, while the season incorporates casuals, everyone will find something to love and slip into comfortably.

Hybrid Sneakers

Sneakers have gained much hype in the fashion world for many years now and have become a steady accessory. With comfort clothing, one needs comfort footwear, and so the new styles are all too funky to be used roughly, but rather give a fun, sporty feel. The winner was sneaker-style studded kitten heels with many brands creating these hybrids for a mix of glam and sporty comfort.

The London-based perfumer says her Zara collab and being homebound taught her to work harder, push herself

The sense of smell is closely linked with memory, possibly more so than any of our other senses. This is something we have come to deeply appreciate during the pandemic, Covid-19 induced anosmia or no. Perfumer Jo Malone knows this connection well, having launched two successful fragrance businesses and currently enjoying the rewards of her collaboration with high street giant, Zara. When we meet on a Zoom call, Malone, 57, talks about her “year within four walls” with her husband and son, likening herself to an athlete “practising and practising and working every day”. Zara has been receptive to her creativity, she says. As for Zara Emotions, the first collection of eight fragrances that launched in India in December 2020 is budget-friendly and delivers a fair bit of the Jo Loves experience.
